Why the name?
Hen & Finch Maple Co. is named after our two boys, Henry and Crew Harold-Finch Kvas. While we started on a hobbyist scale, our dream of maple syrup farming grew from a deep love for the northern lifestyle. For many, it’s an escape; for us, it feels like home. With all hands on deck, we can't think of a better place—or company—to help nurture our children than these 30 acres of woods, where we work, grow, and explore together.

The Dreamer
The dreamer, the energy, there is absolutely no way this dream would be a reality without Zac. Zac has spent his entire life engulfed in the world of food and drink, with owning a maple farm always being "the dream". Professional bartender, whisky expert, and flavour extraordinaire, Zac has an amazing ability to bring forward new, unique ideas and broadcast them in an approachable, fun way.
Co-Founder of Kvas Fine Beverage Co. (an all natural cocktail syrup company) and Walk Ins Only (Mobile Bar Catering) and Hen & Finch Maple Co., no day is the same, or even the same company.
Amy Danielle Kvas (Co-Founder)
The Homesteader
Lover of beer, wine, coffee, cocktails, baking and cooking. Amy is happiest surrounded by nature, her family and friends and working with her hands. Whether it's gardening, pickling, making dough or thrifting the next season's needs, life is an adventure worth being excited about.
Co-Founder of Kvas Fine Beverage Co. along with Hen & Finch Maple Co., Amy handles the logistics of both, whether that's in the middle of the forest or their sugar shack office.
Henry Stephen Kvas
The Forest Ranger
Henry is an expert forest manager, he will be quick to show you berries not to eat, or a tree that's marked to cut down. Henry loves to plant seeds, help in the garden, look for frogs, swim and fish. Henry is energetic, loves to make friends and is happiest with a balanced life of indoor mincraft and outdoor adventure.

Crew is our boisterous ball of energy and smiles and is as sweet as maple syrup. Always eager to help, just make sure you have snacks and an extra arm to carry him. Born right in the middle of maple season, you better believe he enjoys some maple syrup on his birthday cake at the sugar shack.
Gedo (Stephen) Kvas
The Loyal Farmhand
Gedo is our loyal farmhand, always along for the ride, whatever that means. From assisting on the bottling line, to cutting down trees, to carrying out maple lines, Gedo has been helping us in our entrepreneurship adventure since day 1.
Mason Kvas
The Gentle Giant
Our bear the Newfoundlander, Mason is sure to not go too far, half protector, half fearful of a mouse, he's our gentle giant who enjoys food, shade and his daily hike around the forest. If we could only train him to pull a sled.
Myrtle-Anne Kvas
The Woodchipper
For some strange reason, Myrtle never had many teeth, but that doesn't stop her from chewing all the sticks, twigs and logs. While 12 years old in age, she's still as playful as a puppy and definitely the queen of the pack.
